In the role of Senior Engineer – Mechanical Engineering, you’ll be a passionate Mechanical Engineer motivated by solving complex transmission and driveline solutions at component and system level by design and/or analysis and simulation methods. You will have a demonstrable background of design and/or analysis and simulation of precision rotating components, structural components and complete systems, where you have shown high levels of initiative and attention to detail whilst managing yourself and others to tight deadlines
You’ll be operating in a fast paced project environment, needing technical, commercial and customer management skills whilst collaborating with some of the most innovative people, companies, and technologies on the planet. What you will need
You will have:
- Proven experience of automotive transmission design and/or analysis experience
- High standard of competency in design and CAE analysis of rotating systems
- A track record of innovation to benefit the outcome of powertrain projects
- Successfully managed small to medium sized projects both technically and commercially
- Proficiency in some of the key software packages within drivetrain engineering (SMT MASTA, Romax, Creo, UGNX, Catia, Amesim, Recurdyn, Matlab, Altair and Ansys packages)
- A strong understanding of the fundamental principles of mechanical engineering and experience in applying them to solve complex problems
Additional:
- The command of a foreign language is always a benefit in a company with global reach, particularly, French, German, Korean
- Awareness of the commercial approach of a consultancy business will be advantageous

Key Responsibilities
You will be:
- Utilising state of the art simulation techniques and design tools to design, develop and prototype transmission, driveline and actuation systems
- Helping to combine and develop new techniques and analysis methods for use within the company
- Responsible for the delivery of technical work packages and whole projects
- Applying your existing experience in specifying materials, processes and design applicable for the function of the components
- Engineering through design tools, calculations, analysis, simulation, drawings and technical reporting
- Managing your own and others workload within small to medium sized projects
- Undertaking work with a high level of autonomy and communicating effectively throughout the business
- Supporting technical capability initiatives within the Mechanical Engineering function
- Independently and confidently presenting influential material to peers, customers, and technical forums
- Taking ownership of proposals/quotes from initiation through submission with the client
