Project Management
As well as managing our own projects we also provide project management and project structuring services to our customers. We are able to manage the customer resources and provide onsite technical project management expertise for transmission design and development projects.
The key to running a successful project is sensible management. Drive System Design use formally trained project managers on all our customer projects. We use the method of management by exception where the customers quality expectations are used to create detailed plans. Risk management is then used to determine how to react to exceptions to that plan. This provides a flexible working structure where problems are resolved swiftly with minimal impact to cost and timing.
All projects are structured keeping the customer involved at all stages. A project board is appointed to allow open communication and status reporting throughout the project term.
Quality is assured by using a project assurance team or individual who monitors the project quality and reports deviations from the customers quality expectation direct to the project board.
