ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY


Drive System Design (DSD) is an award-winning engineering consultancy providing innovative solutions to refine future powertrains and associated technologies. Promoting system integration and optimisation across the design, development and control of transmission systems and electrified powertrains.

It is DSD's objective to carry out all measures reasonably practicable to meet, exceed or develop all necessary or desirable requirements and to minimise our environmental impact by:

  • Complying with the requirements of all applicable environmental legislation and best practice
  • Assessing and regularly reviewing the environmental effects of business activities
  • Identifying significant environmental aspects and impacts and ensuring risks are evaluated before undertaking new activities
  • Minimising the production of waste materials; actively promoting recycling and the use of recyclable and renewable materials
  • Minimising pollution and noise, protecting local habitats and ecosystems
  • Using energy and water resources efficiently, monitoring usage and reducing consumption where possible

  • Promoting awareness of environmental issues, objectives and the importance of effective environmental management
  • Continually improving our environmental performance through the setting and review of realistic and achievable objectives in line with the strategic direction of the business
  • Providing appropriate resources for the implementation of this policy
  • Working with relevant interested parties/stakeholders to implement this policy
  • Monitoring progress and review performance annually, reporting findings to the Operations Board
  • Upholding compliance to the requirements of ISO 14001

This Environmental Policy is regularly reviewed in order to ensure its continuing suitability.


This policy statement shall be made available to the general public and interested parties through the company website, and shall be communicated to all persons working on behalf of the organisation, inclusive of Visitors and Contractors.
